“We want to say thank you to our owners, architects, partners, project managers, superintendents and all supporting staff that made these projects a success,” said Christy Kovac, President and Chief Executive Officer for Sheridan Construction. “We are honored to be recognized for our work and dedication to the industry.”

Each year, construction firms submit their best projects to the AGC of Georgia to be judged on criteria such as innovation, safety, dedication, and excellence in project management. The awards are grouped into several divisions and subcategories, such as firm size, project size, and new construction versus renovation. All projects are completed by Georgia construction firms, for work done in the state, and completed during the 2020 calendar year.

“The construction industry’s workers’ skill, integrity and responsibility – combined with a spirit of innovation and tremendous pride – produce the buildings that contribute to the quality of life enjoyed by the people who live, work, pray, learn and play in communities throughout Georgia,” said Mike Dunham, CEO of AGC Georgia. “We are proud of our contractors for working through the extremely tough conditions of 2020 to produce quality projects with the utmost importance on safety of the industry’s workforce.”
