COVID-19 UPDATE

The South Health District has lifted the temporary suspension for COVID-19 vaccine appointments. With additional supply now available, they will continue to allow residents that fall into the tier (1A+) category, individuals 65 and older, their caregivers, all first responders, and healthcare workers, to register for vaccination appointments.

Individuals who will not receive their vaccine from Lowndes or Berrien County Health Departments are encouraged to visit the DPH Vaccine Locator at https://dph.georgia.gov/locations/covid-vaccination-site. All enrolled providers that offer the vaccine.

Municipal Court UPDATE

Municipal Court proceedings have resumed, effective Tuesday, March 2. The entrance to the court is at the side door at the Clerk’s Office. We have put social-distancing and safety requirements in place. The community can expect to see protective barriers, floor markers installed for waiting in line, and increased cleaning in all public areas. A FACE MASK IS REQUIRED.

You may pay any citation and/or summons prior to your court date in-person at the Valdosta Police Department located at 500 N. Toombs St., Valdosta, GA. You may pay your citation and/or summons online at www.valdostatix.com or call 1-800-701-8560. If you pay your citation and/or summons before your court date, you are NOT required to appear in court unless you have a mandatory court appearance.
