PSC April 2nd Committee Meetings to Be Held Online Only

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Thursday, April 2nd, 2020

The Georgia Public Service Commission is continuing to follow Gov. Brian Kemp’s directive that all state employees who have the ability to telework should work from home in a continuing effort to hamper the spread of COVID-19. To continue in this vein, Thursday’s PSC Committee Meetings will be held online only. Commissioners, staff and interested parties can participate from their homes.

Because the hearing room will be empty, the typical LiveStream link on the PSC website will not be operable. Instead, viewers can listen to the audio-only meeting on YouTube by following this link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZSMyme2G_zmisHwuQAztFQ

The link is also posted at the top of the PSC website.

Parties who typically address the Commission during Committee Meetings have been given specific login instructions. Members of the public who want to address the Commission can comment via email. A link for email comment is also at the top of the PSC homepage and can be accessed by this link: https://psc.ga.gov/public-comments/

All PSC meetings are open to the public, per Georgia’s Open Meetings Act. The Commissioners are confident this online meeting method will help keep Georgians safe and will preserve the meaning and spirit of the Open Meetings Act. Committee Meetings will continue in this fashion until further notice.

As usual, the meetings will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will include the Energy, Facilities Protection, Natural Gas, and Administrative Affairs committees.
