The Historic Preservation Commission is empowered to regulate the demolition, relocation, or any material change to the exterior of historic resources and non-historic resources located in the Valdosta Local Historic District

Valdosta-Lowndes County Airport Authority

The basic responsibility of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Airport Authority is to construct, own, maintain, expand, and operate any and all public airports in Lowndes County. The Authority is charged with establishment, maintenance, and operation of a unified and coordinated airport system for the public welfare, safety, and convenience.
