The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), the state of Georgia’s globally recognized technology incubator, is now accepting applications from startups with strong growth potential for its upcoming Spring 2019 ATDC Venture Showcase to the West Coast March 12-13.

Building on the success of the Venture Showcases held across the United States during the past two years, ATDC and its co-hosts will once again visit Boston and New York City, as well as San Francisco and Palo Alto, California. The successes of previous ATDC Venture Showcases is one reason the incubator’s current portfolio companies have raised more than $100 million for the past two consecutive years.

To be eligible, applicants must be Georgia-headquartered technology companies intending to raise a Series A or higher in the next six to nine months. The applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Feb. 1, 2019. Companies may apply using this link: 2019 ATDC Venture Showcase.

The 12 companies selected for the Venture Showcase will be notified Feb. 11, 2019, after the selection committee has reviewed all applications.

The ATDC Venture Showcase series is co-hosted by Morris, Manning & Martin, Aprio, Silicon Valley Bank,Venture Atlanta,DLA Piper, and the Metro Atlanta Chamber.

The effort is ATDC’s third Venture Showcase to the West Coast since launching the initiative in the spring of 2017.

“We continue to build on the success of our trips,” said ATDC Assistant Director Jane McCracken, adding during the five previous Showcases, 62 presenting companies have met more than 125 different venture capital funds.

“Venture capitalists are eager to see and learn what technology companies in Georgia are doing and how their innovative technologies are disrupting the marketplace,” she said.

The initiative is an offshoot of ATDC’s highly successful Investor Connect program. That effort allows funders — from angels to venture capitalists and corporate investors — to interact with the highly vetted, market disruptive, investor-ready companies in ATDC’s Signature and Accelerate portfolios
