Dec. 11  | Central Valdosta Development Authority Board Meeting

The Central Valdosta Development Authority manages the process of enhancing  Downtown’s position as the governmental, cultural, and economic center of the Greater Lowndes County area by involving businesses, property owners, government, churches, and the entire community.

The purpose of these programs is to brighten the holiday season for Valdosta families by providing selected youth ages 4-12 with some holiday shopping money. Each youth participant at the following events will be paired with a public safety professional, who will serve as a positive role model as well as a designated shopping buddy.

Dec. 12  | Valdosta-Lowndes Co. Airport Authority Meeting
8:00 AM Valdosta Regional Airport, 1750 Airport Road, Suite 1

The basic responsibility of the Authority is to construct, own, maintain, expand, and operate any and all public airports in Lowndes County.  The Authority is charged with establishment, maintenance, and operation of a unified and coordinated airport system for the  public welfare, safety, and convenience.

Dec. 15  | VSU Blazers vs. Ferris State Bulldogs

On Saturday Dec. 8, the Valdosta State Blazer football team secured a berth in the 2018 NCAA DII National Championship game with a semifinal win over Notre Dame (Ohio). Saturday, Dec. 15 the Blazers will travel to McKinney, Texas to compete for the program's fourth national title, and we want you to join as the Blazers Take Texas!
