JLC AirShow Management is proud to announce the USAF F-22 Raptor, the GEICO Skytypers and country music legend The Charlie Daniels Band will headline the 2015 Wings Over North Georgia airshow & Smoke-n-Thunder BBQ Classic October 3-4 at Rome's Russell Regional Airport.

Last year's airshow featuring the USAF Thunderbirds attracted more than 75,000 airshow attendees resulting in a North Georgia economic impact exceeding $5.3 million.  This year's fall event shows even greater promise and should remain North Georgia's #1 family outdoor event.  Along with the F-22 Raptor, GEICO Skytypers and Charlie Daniels Band; a complete roster of world-class aerobatic and military performers, warbird demonstrations plus Saturday evening's grand finale fireworks display are sure to please all in attendance.

"We delayed announcing the full airshow details until our headliners were all confirmed. We're positive our fans throughout the North Georgia region will be very excited to learn the F-22 Raptor along with the Charlie Daniels Band will be performing at our fall event," says John Cowman, AirShow President. "We're also featuring the return of the GEICO Skytypers WWII era formation team and a host of other world-class aerobatic and warbird demonstrations."

The Smoke-n-Thunder BBQ Classic competition continues with the addition of "THE DOUBLE" providing the Pro-Division teams with a unique (Friday-Saturday) & (Saturday-Sunday) competition profile. The Back-Yard Division will maintain a Saturday-Sunday competition schedule. The BBQ Classic Double provides a cash purse and awards package exceeding $25,000. In addition to the Saturday & Sunday Professional Division Grand & Reserve Champion honors, there will be an overall "DOUBLE GRAND CHAMPION" crowned on Sunday from the combined two-day Double Points results.

The first-day airshow traffic and parking challenges experienced by fans attending the 2014 event were corrected before gates opened on Sunday and those solutions have been applied to 2015 planning. "Fans really appreciate this airshow's annual commitment in Rome, Georgia to create a safe, exciting and patriotic airshow weekend of family fun and entertainment," says George Cline, Air Boss, Inc.
