COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Lean Boot Camp is an intensive, four-day course of classroom discussion and hands-on simulation which provides an enterprise view of lean tools and the principles behind them. The course stresses not only the tools of lean, but the cultural environment necessary to realize their potential — Continuous Improvement Combined with Respect for People.

AGENDA:
• Day 1: Foundation of Lean, Value Stream Mapping, Workplace Organization
• Day 2: 5S Continued, Set-Up Time Reduction, Material Presentation
• Day 3: Process Design, Visual Controls, Pull Systems, Total Productive Maintenance
• Day 4: Problem Solving, Project Selection, Project Management

INSTRUCTORS:
Paul Todd is a project manager with Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute. He teaches and assists organizations the application of
Lean principles, process improvement tools, and change management through workshops, kaizen events, and shop- oor coaching.

Kelley Hundt is a project manager for Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute, specializing in helping the Healthcare industry,
speci cally hospitals, adopt Lean principles to improve their processes. She also has an extensive background in working in manufacturing,
administrative environments, and software deployment.
